Toowoomba Grammar School is widely regarded as one of the most picturesque schools in Australia

Covering almost 21 hectares, Toowoomba Grammar School is just one kilometre from Toowoomba’s city centre and, consequently, has proximity to all services necessary for our School, staff and boys.

The campus is widely regarded as one of the most picturesque in Queensland with its heritage buildings and expansive, tree-lined grounds which were initially destined to be the Queens Park and Botanical Gardens for the city.

All learning areas in our School are air-conditioned and heated. In 2020 and 2021, our classrooms were redesigned to ensure they are ergonomically friendly and complete with the latest state-of-the-art technology as part of our Microsoft Lighthouse Schools recognition. We boast multiple specialist science laboratories, drama, art, information technology, industrial design and technology and robotics areas.

Toowoomba Grammar School boasts five sporting ovals on-site in addition to an outstanding Sports Centre and an Aquatic Centre. The Glen McCracken Sports Centre includes specialised teaching and learning areas, staff offices, two basketball courts and three volleyball courts. The lower level is a large indoor netted facility that can be converted to six cricket nets for specialised training day and night, as well as used for futsal and a range of PE activities. There are eight tennis courts on the campus with lights for night training and matches. The Aquatic Centre comprises two indoor swimming pools; a main ten lane pool (25 x 25 metre) and a learn-to-swim pool (7.5 x 15 metres).

We have six boarding houses on campus, each with the Head of House and their family residing within the boarding house to create a true family environment for our boarders. This is complemented by a dining hall for all boarders’ meals and the on-site health centre that has 24/7 health care nurses, along with GP and specialist services available (such as physiotherapy).

Toowoomba is Queensland’s largest inland city, retaining its country charm with a growing urban coffee culture and street art scene, plenty of excellent restaurants and shopping outlets. All of the opportunities, facilities and services commonly found in metropolitan areas are found in Toowoomba, in a safe and friendly community. Toowoomba is only 1.5 hours by road from Brisbane and with direct flights to major cities.
